Smyrna Fall Jonquil Festival

This weekend, October 24 & 25, 2009, the Fall Jonquil Festival will be held at the Smyrna Market Village. This annual festival has been around for over 20 years, and will offer something for everyone!
The festival will feature over 150 handmade arts and crafts booths, live entertainment, food, and a fresh market.
The Friends of the Smyrna Library will be selling books, Keep Smyrna Beautiful will be distributing jonquil bulbs and promoting a cleaner Smyrna, and many other causes will be in attendance. Acoustic Sunset at Smyrna Market Village
Posted by: | CommentsDave FM is now bringing you Acoustic Sunset Fall series, a live music series in the Smyrna Market Village, located off Atlanta Road. Every concert takes place Sunday evenings, from 4 – 7 p.m. This is a free, all ages event. Just like Acoustic Sunrise on Sunday mornings on Dave FM, this series will feature a mellow collection of vintage music, coffee house artists, and unplugged versions of your favorite songs.
This event is presented by Coors Light: the world’s most refreshing beer / please drink responsibly; and is supported by The City of Smyrna; Atkins Park and 929 Dave FM.

Smyrna Business Association 2nd Annual Golf Tournament
Posted by: | CommentsOn Saturday, September 17, 2009, the Smyrna Business Association will hold it’s 2nd Annual Golf Tournament. Registration begins at 7.30 am and the shotgun start is at 8.30 am. The four man scramble tournament should end by 1 pm. The tournament will be held at Dogwood Golf Club on Flint Road, just minutes from Circle 75 Cobb County townhomes.
The cost to play is $85 per player early bid, $95 per player for day of registration or $300 for a team of 4 early bid. You can register online at www.smyrnabusinessassociation.com.
The proceeds of this tournament go to benefit the following:
- Partner in Education Campbell and Osborne Scholarship ($1,000 ea)

This Saturday, September 5, 2009, the 6th Annual Smyrna Beer Fest will be held at Smyrna Market Village, located just 5 minutes from Circle 75 Townhomes in Atlanta. Admission is $25 in advance or $35 at the gate, and includes 100’s of the finest local, domestic & import beers ready for tasting! But for you designated drivers (and please be sure to have one!) your admission is free! Also, for the first time this year, there will be some wine tasting tables.

2009 US 10K Classic Race in Smyrna

On Monday, September 7, 2009, Labor Day, the 2009 US 10K Classic run will be held in Smyrna, GA. This is a race dedicated to raising awareness and funds for children’s charities in Georgia and for the future development of the World Children’s Center. It is Atlanta’s premier multi-event road race, and brings everyone from cyclists to runners together.
The 100K Pro Cycling event and 6.2 mile road race is held along Hwy 41 (Cobb Parkway). This road offers a straight course, with a bit of a challenge. Anyone is invited to participate. Professional athletes will be in attendance, as well as local walkers, just wanting to help raise awareness for a great cause.
