Holiday Highlights in Cobb this Weekend!
By
This Saturday, there is something for everyone around Circle 75 Townhomes in Atlanta. Whether you are big or small, young or old, there is something happening for you.
The Mable House Arts Center will have Concerts in the Tea Room. Only $40 for a table of four, and you will enjoy an evening of great entertainment. Joanna Maddox will perform while you indulge in heavy hors d’oeuvres, wine and coffee.
If Christmas music is more of your style this time of year, pianist Jim Brickman will be performing his Beautiful World Christmas 2009 at the Cobb Energy Center. Jim and his guests showcase an evening of amazing solo piano, vibrant vocals plus warmth and humor. Jim combines new & old holiday favorites, all the hits plus songs from the fall album release, Beautiful World. Tickets start at $33, and the show starts at 8 pm.
For the youngsters, Kennesaw’s Santa Parade kicks off at Main Street in Downtown Kennesaw. This parade features festive holiday characters, musical groups, floats, live reindeer and the jolly old man himself, Santa Claus. The parade will last approximately 1 hour. Arrive early for a good viewing location and make sure to dress warmly—it’s supposed to be cold. Festivities will continue near the Depot until 4pm, with caroling Dickens characters, FREE puppet shows, stage entertainment, inflatables, craft and food vendors. Also, Santa Clause will be around after the parade to take photos with the kids and hear what they want him to bring Christmas Eve.
If history is your flavor, the National Cemetery Walking Tour is happening this Saturday also. This tour will spend 2 hours at the Marietta National Cemetery. This 23 acre site represents every war America has fought in. The two trolley tours that day start at 2 pm and at 5 pm. Tickets range in pricing, but start at $12 for children.
