On Monday, September 7, 2009, Labor Day, the 2009 US 10K Classic run will be held in Smyrna, GA. This is a race dedicated to raising awareness and funds for children’s charities in Georgia and for the future development of the World Children’s Center. It is Atlanta’s premier multi-event road race, and brings everyone from cyclists to runners together.
The 100K Pro Cycling event and 6.2 mile road race is held along Hwy 41 (Cobb Parkway). This road offers a straight course, with a bit of a challenge. Anyone is invited to participate. Professional athletes will be in attendance, as well as local walkers, just wanting to help raise awareness for a great cause. And it is located within walking distance to Circle 75 Atlanta townhomes.
Remember to register early, as there will be no same day registration. Even if you don’t want to walk, run, bike or skate, come out to support those participating for a great cause!
