The $8,000 tax credit is a credit offered to any first time homebuyer purchasing a home before November 30 of this year. A first time homebuyer is a buyer who has not owned a home in the last 3 years. If you have not, you are eligible for a 10% tax credit, up to $8,000! The government is giving you free money.
